This strawberry matcha latte layers fresh fruit, creamy oat milk, and a smooth matcha boost into a vibrant glass that tastes as good as it looks. Ideal as a bright morning sip, an afternoon pick‑me‑up, or a light sweet treat.
Ingredients
Crushed strawberry (to taste)
Agave honey: 8 g total
Oat milk: 125 g
Matcha powder: 3 g
Warm water: 27 g total (about 80 °C / 175 °F)
Ice
Tools
Tall glass
Chawan or small bowl
Bamboo whisk, handheld frother, or small whisk
Instructions
In a glass, mix crushed strawberry with 3 g agave until combined.
Add ice to the glass.
Pour in 125 g oat milk, aiming to keep distinct layers.
In a chawan or small bowl, combine 3 g matcha with 2 g warm water (about 80 °C) and whisk into a smooth, lump‑free paste.
Add 25 g warm water and 5 g agave to the paste; whisk in quick M/W zigzag motions until foamy, then gently pour over the glass to form the top matcha layer.
Tips and variations
Sweetness: increase or reduce agave by 1–2 g to taste.
Foam: without a bamboo whisk, a handheld frother or small whisk aerates effectively; full dissolution of matcha is the goal.
Clean layers: pour the matcha over the back of a spoon held near the surface to keep layers intact.
Milk choice: a barista‑style oat milk gives extra creaminess and more stable layering.
Fruit prep: macerating strawberry with the agave for a few minutes intensifies flavor and releases juice.
